My clinical practice spans the most complex intersections of oral and systemic health environments where what happens in the mouth has direct consequences for the whole patient.

Critical Care & ICU

In mechanically ventilated patients, the oral cavity becomes a reservoir for pathogenic microorganisms directly linked to hospital-acquired pneumonia and other respiratory infections. Active oral health management in the ICU is not supplementary — it is a core component of patient safety. My work includes oral assessment of critically ill patients, design and implementation of evidence-based oral hygiene protocols, and multidisciplinary collaboration with intensivists, infectious disease specialists, nursing, and physiotherapy teams.

Oncology

Patients undergoing chemotherapy and radiotherapy face significant oral complications that, if unmanaged, can interrupt or compromise treatment. My oncological work covers pre-treatment oral assessment and clearance, active prevention and management of oral complications throughout treatment, and follow-up care integrating dental and oncological protocols.

Transplantation & Cellular Therapy

Organ and stem cell transplantation represents one of the highest-stakes environments for oral health management. My experience spans autologous and allogeneic bone marrow transplantation, CAR-T-Cell therapy, and liver and kidney transplantation — with oral care integrated at every phase of the transplant journey.

Oral Medicine & Complex Patients

Oral Medicine is the foundation of my clinical practice — the discipline concerned with the diagnosis, prevention, and management of oral conditions that reflect or influence systemic health. In a hospital setting, this means working with patients whose oral conditions are shaped by systemic disease, treatment protocols, immunosuppression, or medical complexity.
